| Obsidian |
http://www.obsidian.nu
Obsidian started playing in 1997 in Amsterdam
but in 1998 we started writing our own songs
under the current name. For each song we spend
a lot of time. That’s why every song stands
on it’s own and represents its own period in
time. Inspiration we get from bands like Death,
At the gates and Meshuggah. But other influences
sneak in to. |

| Ocean |

A Musical Sorceress!", raves
one review of Ocean, vocalist-songwriter-producer.
'Mermaid Music', Ocean's debut cd, takes the
listener on a magical voyage of the seven seas,
on exotic rhythms through dreamy waves of passion
on pop funk, danceable music. Ocean's sexy vocals
range from breathy tones to the intensity of
impassioned acrobatics. The 14-song cd has grooves
ranging from powerpop to street funk, with mesmerizing
hypnotica in between. Several of the songs from
Ocean's cd are radio favorites- some on rock-alternative
stations, some on adult contemporary, and some
on funk r&b specialty shows. Ocean's voice is
a unique instrument of multi-octave sensuality,
like a sultry, female Robert Plant or Prince,
with hints of Al Green. |

October Country |
http://www.soundat45rpm.i12.com/octobercountry
The October Country
invites you on a psychodub rock roadtrip which
breeds dark cabaret with parched atmospherics.
This is the work of Swansea-based musician,
Dave Merrick, a solo project conceived and implemented
in 2001 after several years in live, gig-orientated
local bands. Likened to Bowie meets the Doors
('Gigbite', June 2002), The October Country
communicates a tension between the hunger for
an experimental vocabulary of chaos and the
antagonistic lure of the 'humble' song. With
its competing elements of aggression and decadence,
this is a vision which interfuses Dave's diverse
passions into a cohesive, but fluid, whole. |

| Opium |
http://www.opiumonline.co.uk
Opium started in the depths of
the valleys, where guitars are set to clean
and the bands you hear are covers; nothing is
going for four young upstarts wanting to play
rock and roll. Ceri Collins (guitar, vocals)
with drummer Iwan Meaker swapped around band
after band, all falling to the same fate, lack
of originality, drive and desire to make meaningful
rock music. |
| Orefisaurus |
http://www.orefisaurus.com
Once upon a time (the Fall of
1998), Orefisaurus, a group of four no-talent
high school kids looking to have a good time,
first started playing together. Unfortunately,
they were so bad that they never did have a
good time, so they rarely practiced and never
played live. |
| Overland |
http://www.overlandrock.co.uk/
Basically, we started off as
a covers band; performing stuff like FEEDER,
STEREOPHONICS, ASH, GREEN DAY, NIRVANA, THE
CLASH etc... Well, thankfully we've moved on
from this and now we play all of our own stuff
all the time |
