| Mendoza |
www.mendoza.cwc.net
Formed in April 2000 we started
out as a 5 peice. wrote an array of music, and
learnt covers at an alarming rate. By the end
of the year, we had 3 gigs and an 2hr set available
to us. After the 1st gig together, Ellie (vocals)
left for uni, leaving the band. So Sandra stepped
up and took the microphone. We then played the
Slough Rock'a'Thon. We got a name for ourselves
that night. The first gig where we were open
to critisism from the music press, and we "Stole
the show" along with fellow band Jelutong. No-one
knew that it was our first major gig. |

| Melys
|
www.melys.co.uk
The musical phenomenon that is
`Melys` started out life in the picturesque
town of Betws-y-Coed in North Wales. Andrea
(Vocals) and Paul (Guitars) began writing together
just for fun at first and never dreamt anything
would come of it. Paul passed a tape of Andrea
singing on to Super Furry Animals producer Gorwel
Owen after working with him in a studio with
another band he was in at the time. Gorwel loved
it and passed it onto 'Ankst' who immediately
wanted to release something by Melys.

| Michael
Stacey |
www.MichaelStacey.com
Michael Stacey was born in the
small southern town of Hahira, Georgia. Early
in his childhood, he relocated to Southern Florida
with his family. Showing an interest in music
throughout his adolescence, Michael decided
early on that a career as a musician was in
his destiny. Shortly after high school, he purchased
an acoustic guitar for fifty-dollars, and began
learning the basics of music. Michael was influenced
by an array of performers, from traditional
country artists such as George Jones and Alan
Jackson, to popular rock, folk, and Motown acts
of the 60's, 70's, and 80's. Using these elements,
Michael began to develop his own style. |
| The
Mighty Stars |
http://mightystars.50megs.com/
Two stars destined to collide;
Matt Stead and Rob Ash lived most of their lives
in the rural backwaters of Gloucestershire.
Without knowing they were rarely more than 20km
away from each other. Both, passionate about
music, longed to air their tunes to whoever
would listen and for one reason or another ended
up in Bristol. By chance they were introduced
at a party. Their dual admiration for great
bands such as Jesus and Mary Chain, Pixies and
Primal Scream, prompted their decision to form
the big lebowski. An amazing song writing partnership
has blossomed since. |
